David Tennant is a Scottish actor best known for his role as the tenth doctor in the popular BBC television series Doctor Who. He has starred in a number of BBC programmes including Blackpool, Casanova, Learners, Recovery, Single Father and more recently the RSC production of Hamlet.

Branching out into cinema, David played Barty Crouch Junior in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005. St. Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold saw him play the villainous character Lord Pomfrey. More recently David starred with Catherine Tate in a modern day adaptation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and took on the role of Peter Vincent in the Hollywood blockbuster Fright Night.

David is married to actress Georgia Moffett. They have a daughter, Olive and David adopted Georgia's son Tyler shortly after her birth.

“No no no no no!” The door to the TARDIS burst open and the Doctor ran in, carrying his companion Rose Tyler. She moaned and shook violently in his arms. The Doctor picked up his pace towards the Med Bay. He hadn't meant for her to get shot, and for the bullet to be coated with Spirulian Venom, one of the deadliest poisons on this side of the Meltution Galaxy.
It had all started out as a normal day. He had taken her to see the enormous statue of one of the most powerful and influential leaders of the planet Geltor 4. The special thing about the statue was that it was made of sparkling rubies, making it one of theHome is With You by ~RoseBadWolfTyler
Not Just Any Doctor-PilotThe cragged concrete tick-ticked under the frayed fabric of her shoes. She sighed as she felt the ever present pang in her legs from walking at an unknown speed. Then again, that was all she seemed to do anymore. A sigh here, a sigh there, so it felt. Her mouth opened for a particularly breathy one, but she clasped her lips shut before she could do so. In no mood to do so, she ticked onwards towards her destination. Alley after alley glanced as she passed by, offering nothing but parked cars and the backsides of seedy buildings. She looked away, disgusted by the buildings she bypassed day after day.

“Come on!” Catherine hollered.

She grabbed Rose and pushed her towards a doorway. She managed to wrangle everyone else into the abandoned building and weld the door shut with her hand. She turned and saw Bryce and Cameron distracting The Hunter.

“Cameron! Bryce!” She called out. “Come on!”

Cameron and Bryce shifted from a pair of quick animals to their normal forms and started towards Catherine and the others. Cameron looked back and saw the black form moving closer to them. He grabbed Bryce’s vest and shoved him towards the door.

“Well, not look down for one...” Claire muttered as they landed in an empty parking lot. Her wings disappeared and she started to stretch her arms and legs. “I just don’t think you like me.”

:heart: New projects :heart:

Richard II - David is to star in the title role of Richard II as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company's new season. The actor is making a return to the RSC five years after his critically-acclaimed performance as Hamlet. The production will run in Stratford-Upon-Avon's Royal Shakespeare Theatre in October and November, transferring to the Barbican Theatre in London in December.

Escape Artist - David has been confirmed to star in new BBC One drama The Escape Artist. The three-part legal thriller has been written by Spooks creator David Wolstencroft.

Broadchurch - David and recent Doctor Who star Arthur Darvill will team up for new ITV1 eight-part drama Broadchurch. The show is penned by Doctor Who and Torchwood scribe Chris Chibnall and begins filming in August in Portishead, near Bristol.

Spies Of Warsaw - David Tennant will make a welcome return to BBC America which is premiering "Spies of Warsaw," starting April 3rd. The period drama features Tennant as Colonel Jean-Francois Mercier, a decorated hero of World War One.

David has revealed that he is "excited" at the prospect of becoming a father for the third time. The 41 year old confirmed on The Jonathan Ross Show that his wife Georgia Moffett was pregnant with the couple's second child. He and Moffett, who married in December 2011, are already parents to one-year-old daughter Olive, and he adopted her son Tyler, now ten, in 2011.
