Richard II - David is to star in the title role of Richard II as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company's new season. The actor is making a return to the RSC five years after his critically-acclaimed performance as Hamlet. The production will run in Stratford-Upon-Avon's Royal Shakespeare Theatre in October and November, transferring to the Barbican Theatre in London in December.
Escape Artist - David has been confirmed to star in new BBC One drama The Escape Artist. The three-part legal thriller has been written by Spooks creator David Wolstencroft.
Broadchurch - David and recent Doctor Who star Arthur Darvill will team up for new ITV1 eight-part drama Broadchurch. The show is penned by Doctor Who and Torchwood scribe Chris Chibnall and begins filming in August in Portishead, near Bristol.
Spies Of Warsaw - David Tennant will make a welcome return to BBC America which is premiering "Spies of Warsaw," starting April 3rd. The period drama features Tennant as Colonel Jean-Francois Mercier, a decorated hero of World War One.

David has revealed that he is "excited" at the prospect of becoming a father for the third time. The 41 year old confirmed on The Jonathan Ross Show that his wife Georgia Moffett was pregnant with the couple's second child. He and Moffett, who married in December 2011, are already parents to one-year-old daughter Olive, and he adopted her son Tyler, now ten, in 2011.
